Teardown Tuesday
It's no secret that most startups fail, and it's usually because of what they don't do with the time they have. As founders, it's not unusual to believe in the sunk cost fallacy: you've spent so long working on a product (and how it works, feels, does the job it's supposed to do) that you don't want to hear that it's not what people need, or it's not communicating your value, or it's not going to help you get to the next important milestone.
For lots of reasons it can be hard to seek out unfiltered, objective, and constructive feedback. It's natural to feel defensive about what others tell you about the thing you've spent months or more working on. But it absolutely feels worse to not recognise when something isn't working and to not do anything about it.
Teardown Tuesday is a twice a month gathering of people who want feedback on any publicly facing part of their startup: webstite, product, marketing materials, fundraising materials etc. Feedback will be provided by founder peers in a direct and constructive way, taking into account the limited time that startups tend to have to make meaningful progress.
